How Do I Order an Antler Basket Kit? Where do you get your antlers from? All antlers used in the production of our kits are “sheds”. Sheds are antlers that are lost naturally when the deer produces new antlers. We procure our antlers only from legitimately established wholesalers. Back to Top What type of spoked antlers are available? We have 2 point, 3 point and 4 point kits available. Back to Top Do I need to purchase a weaving kit to complete my antler basket? No. We have assembled 8 different color coordinated kits that allow for individualistic artistic interpetation while supplying all the materials necessary to ensure a beautiful result. You may also complete your basket utilizing different weaving materials, or by adding different materials to one of our kits. Back to Top What happens if I accidently break a rib spoke? Antler basket rib spokes are constructed with a #5 reed that is very durable, but not industructable. Most breaks are easily repaired joining the ends of broken reed with InstaCure ® glue (we recommend using only InstaCure). If you are having difficulty with a repair, you may return the spoked antler to us (please send 1st Class mail or UPS) and we will gladly repair and return it to you free of charge. Back to Top What can I do if my basket spokes are misshaped? When the basket is assembled, every care is taken to ensure proper shaping of the spokes (please bear in mind that we are working with natural, not synthetic or manufactured materials). Sometimes in the shipping process or in situations of varying humidity, the spokes loose their shape. Minor occurances are corrected during the weaving process. If a further adjustment is needed, soak the basket in hot water for several minutes. This will allow you to reshape the spoke. Back to Top How Do I Order an Antler Basket Kit?
